Brady is doing great! He is smiling at us (has been since a month), cooing at us and encouraging the girls and their "love" (he is constantly smiling at them when they talk or love on him)! He's even rolled from his tummy to his back a few times!!!

I took Brady for his 1-month check up to the pediatrician today! Here are the one month stats:

Weight: 9 lbs 15 oz (50th percentile)

Length: 23 inches (90th percentile)

Head: 15 1/4 inches (50th percentile)

Let's compare to his 1 week stats:

Weight: 8 lbs 2 oz - that's a GAIN of 1 lb 13 oz in 3 weeks

Length: 21 1/4 inches - that's a GROWTH of 1 3/4 inches in 3 weeks

Head: 14 1/4 inches - that's a GROWTH of 1 inch in 3 weeks

1-week Check Up

--

We took Brady to our pediatrician for his one-week well check, as our pediatrician did not have rights at the hospital where he was born. The main purpose of this visit was to check for jaundice and for a weight check. There were no signs of jaundice and see below for his weight!

Here are his stats:

Weight: 8 lbs 2.5 oz (50th percentile)-- weight at birth was 8 lbs 1 oz - already back to his birth weight plus 1 lb 1.5 oz!! The doctor was very pleased as most babies do not "re-achieve" their birthweight until around two weeks, especially breastfed babies!! Obviously he is eating well!

Length: 21 1/4 inches (75th percentile)-- length at birth was 21 inches.

Head: 14 1/4 centimeters (50th percentile) -- head at birth was 14 centimeters.

She checked him over and everything looks great! We go back for another well-check at 1-month!
